Isaac Bear Early College High School had there fall dance on Oct 22, 2011 at the Cove. We hired John Russ to be our DJ and what a great job he did! The kids really enjoyed themselves. The students came up with a playlist before the dance and John was very accommodating. He was prompt and very reasonably priced. We will definitely use him again for our future dances.

On March 29, 2007, John Russ presented at our annual NCAPSE Spring Conference on a panel of speakers regarding Micro Enterprises. He spoke about his business, DJ Smooth Entertainment. Later in the evening, we had a BBQ dinner serving over 100 guests. We had the pleasure of listening to the skills of Mr. Russ while he provided a musical backdrop for our entire evening. June 2nd 2007 my granddaughter turned 13 and had a great party. DJ Smooth (John Russ) made the party a booming success. He had them dancing and singing to the tunes they love best. I have to tell you though, John really gets into the swing himself and I think that really helped make it.

I have know John for many years and have heard him as a DJ for at least 5 years. He continues to amaze me and the crowd as DJ Smooth can rocks the house. At a recent conference that was held in Atlantic Beach, DJ Smooth was doing his thing. He had the crowd going as only he can. He always knows the right music to play at the right time. The party was suppose to end at 10PM but at 11PM they were still going. Due to the restrictions at the conference location we had to shut the party down before midnight. If it wouldn't have been for that, I think they would still be going! Keep up the good work DJ Smooth!!

The Arc of North Carolina contracted with John Russ (DJ Smooth) for our riverboat cruise aboard the Henrietta on September 27, 2008. The Arc of NC had used DJ Smooth before so we knew he was the right DJ for the job.
